This video will try to introduce the concept of image resolution by illustrating the difference of creating an object (a ball) that is 1 " by 1" on a 72 PPI (pixels per inch) document and 1 " by 1" on on a 300 PPI document.

This video will try to introduce the concept of image resolution. Using a photograph from a digital camera, this video illustrates how changing the resolution of an image WITHOUT resampling it affects the document size (but not the file size or pixel height or width).

This video will try to introduce the concept of image resolution. Using a photograph from a digital camera, this video illustrates what happens when a high quality 300 PPI image is resampled to 72 PPI and when a low quality 72 PPI image is resampled up to 300 PPI.

This video addressess and illustrates what the color tolerance number affects in the image when the Magic Wand Tool is used and what is affected by activating the the Contigious button in the Tool Option Bar. It also demonstrates how to use the Magnetic Lasso Tool, the Polygonal Lasso Tool and the Lasso Tool while adding and subtracting parts of the selection that results in extracting a portion of the image from the background. I also illustrated the Select>Modify>Contract and Smooth functions as well as Select>Feather

This video illustrates the difference between the Image>Image Size (used for changing resolution and also for resampling) and Image>Canvas Size (adding or subtracting space to the image). Canvas size can be added relatively to create borders around the image.
